Kalamunda Open Studios is an event held every year in October in the City of Kalamunda. Professional artists open their studios to the public for conversation, information and art sales. Kalamunda has a very large and diverse population of artists who enjoy the lifestyle and find inspiration for their work in this creative community and Spring is a fantastic time to visit this beautiful area.

Just outside of Kalamunda, a quirky artist lives in the bush in a lizard-screened house, where he creates his unique art and craft from metal and MDF. Come along to Rustyroo and see his creations! Rustyroo is as Australian as a BBQ on the beach on a hot summer’s day. Rustyroo would like you to meet all his friends from the bush, the sky and the sea. It’s time to get hopping with Rustyroo.

Kalamunda History Village is the largest folk museum in Western Australia, depicting the early years of life in the Perth Hills and the industries that developed in the area and is managed by the Kalamunda Historical Society.

Historical culture of the area -The Kalamunda and Districts Historical Society manages the largest folk museum in Western Australia, depicting the unique hills life and industries centred around the development of the Kalamunda area. Kalamunda Spring in the Hills is a Competition Exhibition and Sale for Amateur Photographers in Western Australia. The Spring in the Hills Photographic Exhibition is usually exhibited in the Zig Zag Gallery, 50 Railway Road, Kalamunda during September / October. Gem Camera Club hold monthly meetings and basic photography courses with photographers of all levels and skill welcome to join.
