April School Holidays in the Perth Hills

We’ve rounded up the best of the school holiday fun in the Perth Hills this April. Whether you’re a fan of movies under the stars, super cool Transformer robot fun or getting back to nature we have it all.

FRIDAY 12 APRIL Summer Series Movie Festival: The Incredibles 2

Free movie night in Stirk Park, Kalamunda. Food trucks, pre-screening activities and popcorn will be available from 4.30pm. Screening starts at sunset (approximately 6.30pm). Bring your picnic rug and chairs for a night under the stars. Entry is FREE!

FRIDAY 12 APRIL & SATURDAY 13 APRIL Kalamunda Annual Show

The Kalamunda Show is an annual event run over two days. The show features entertainment, stalls, competitions, displays, sideshows, rides, log chop competition, animal nursery, and traditional show competition in craft, cookery, horticulture, art and photography.

Both Friday and Saturday evenings end with a spectacular fireworks display.

SATURDAY 13 APRIL Junior Wildlife Guardian School Holiday Program

Visit Kaarakin this school holiday for up close wildlife encounters and nature-based activities.

Bookings are essential: Child $25 and ONE parent/guardian per family group free of charge, any extra adults or guardians must pay $25 (all tickets non-refundable).

Cultural connections, ages 4-11

In this hands-on activity, your children will gain an understanding of Nyoongar culture as they head out with an Indigenous guide to discover their techniques.

For ages 4-11, this activity is held at Perth Hills Discovery Centre and presented by Nearer to Nature.

Transformers - Core Kids

Robots in disguise! Bumblebee and Optimus Prime are rolling in to Core Cider with a free interactive one-hour show with lifelike Transformers characters.

Easter Bilby family fun day, ages 3+

Explore the Jarrah forest while searching for the Easter bilby, create your own Easter basket and enjoy a special encounter with some native animals.

Dr Dolittle Goes Bush

Walk 2km to a typical Bibbulmun Track campsite to meet the friendly native creatures from Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Ideal for kids 5 – 12 yrs. Watch their faces light up as they interact and learn about our native animals. Return following the Waugal trail markers.
