SATURDAY
DISCOVER KALAMUNDA
The long-running Kalamunda Artisan Markets is back in action and feature’s 170+ art, craft and gourmet food stalls for you to browse at your own pace. Once you’ve explored the market stalls, we recommend a wander in central Kalamunda to discover the boutique shops then grab a table at The Vault Restaurant for lunch to watch the world go by. Opens: 8.30am - 2.00pm Location: Central Mall, Kalamunda
One of Kalamunda’s newest restaurants, The Vault is perched on Haynes Street and offers the casual diner an Italian-Style menu. The owners and staff at The Vault are dedicated to bringing people together over delicious food and drink, and it shows. From the warm and welcoming atmosphere at the door to excellent food and service, you’ll leave the restaurant feeling full and content. Opens: 11.00am - 10.00pm Location: 21 Haynes Street, Kalamunda
After lunch, take a short stroll to the Zig Zag Cultural Centre at the top of Haynes Street and check out the newest exhibition at the Zig Zag Gallery. This weekend the gallery is home to the Contradiction & Contrast an exhibition showcasing a diverse range of art works through the colour spectrum and techniques of textile art. Opens: 10.00am - 4.00pm Location: 50 Railway Road, Kalamunda
Once you’ve had your cultural fill, wander back down the hill to the autumn wonderland that is Stirk Park. The park is a popular location in the Kalamunda area for get-togethers and family picnics with lots of open space and beautiful mature trees that put on a pretty autumn show every year. Location: Elizabeth Street, Kalamunda

SUNDAY
DISCOVER PERTH’S SECRET VALLEY
The Bickley Valley is fast becoming a wine and cider destination favourite. Located just 30 minutes out of the City centre, the valley and surrounding areas offer a perfect scenic wine country meander on a lazy Sunday.

The area is home to over fourteen producers, with a number of them winning State and National award for wine and cider. Many of the venues have restaurants attached to their cellar doors, where you can taste the freshest Hills produce sourced directly from the farm gate.

Prettier than the Swan Valley, the Bickley Valley’s Instagram game is strong. If you’re up for some iconic vista selfies or looking for your chance at capturing an Insta-famous shot, this tiny part of the Perth Hills is picture-perfect.

MONDAY
DISCOVER A TRAIL
Make the most of your Monday by discovering a new walk or cycle trail in the Perth Hills.
Pack a picnic, lace up your boots and hit some of the best walk and hiking trails just a short drive from Perth City. Perfect for a day trip, the walk trails cater for all ages and abilities.
Dogs and walk trails: many of the walk trails listed on our website are dog-friendly, please keep your dogs on leads unless signage permits otherwise. Please remember most National and Regional Parks do not allow dogs due to the protection of fauna, baiting, and consideration to other park users. Adrenaline junkies, grab your mountain bike and step into the wilderness. An extensive network of cycle paths and trails await you in the Perth Hills - spend the day exploring the challenging off-road adventures.
