Kambarang Adventures Cultural Walk: Bibbulmun Track

Sunday, 20 October 11.00am - 2.00pm

A discovery walk with Olman Walley taking in Jorgensen Park and the Bibbulmun Track. A return 2km walk of discovery and experiencing the sensory pleasures of the many wildflowers found in this area. Olman will tell of the Noongar peoples as they traversed the vast coastal plain moving into the hills during Makaru – the colder months.

Meet Olman at Jorgensen Park, Crescent Road, off Mundaring Weir Road, Kalamunda - follow the signs to the steel barbecue adjacent to the Learning Centre car park.

We will head off on an enjoyable, yet challenging 4km loop through the Mundy Regional park, up and down the escarpment, to view the flowing falls from the bottom. We will enjoy a short break to take in the spectacular falls, before making the climb up to the top of the falls just in time for the magic of the sun setting over the West coast of WA, with the city skyline in full view

Join Aboriginal Elder, Neville Collard, at Lesmurdie Falls to hear the fascinating stories of the Noongar peoples as they moved through the hills, how they communicated, how they lived and the significance of this location to them.
